SUBJECT: IN THE MATTER OF THE APPLICATION OF INTERMOUNTAIN GAS
COMPANY FOR A DETERMINATION OF 2021 ENERGY EFFICIENCY
EXPENSES AS PRUDENTLY INCURRED; CASE NO. INT-G-22-03.

On July 12, 2022, Intermountain Gas Company (“Company”), a subsidiary of MDU
Resources Group, Inc., filed an Application for an order designating $4,028,174 of 2021 Energy
Efficiency expenditures as prudently incurred. On August 1, 2022, the Commission issued a Notice
of Application and Notice of Intervention Deadline setting a 21-day intervention deadline. Order
No. 35480. On August 18, 2022, City of Boise filed a Petition to Intervene.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION
Staff has conferred with the Company and City of Boise and the parties have agreed to a
proposed schedule, subject to Commission review and approval. The parties propose that the
Commission issue a Notice of Application and Notice of Modified Procedure setting a November
10, 2022, comment deadline for interested persons and a December 9, 2022, Company reply
deadline.
