RE:REQUEST FOR NAME CHANGE ON CERTIFICATE #336 FROM
STERLING INTERNATIONAL DBA RECONEX TO 1-800-RECONEX
INC., CASE NO. GNR-97-
On January 8, 1988 , the Commission issued Certificate of Public Convenience and
Necessity No. 336 to Sterling International Funding, Inc. d/b/a Reconex. In 1998, the Company
advised this Commission of its change of name to 1-800-RECONEX, Inc. and in 1999 it filed
new long distance, local access and long distance access price lists to reflect this name change.
The Company did not file a request to change the name on its Certificate at that time.
On June 20, 2003 , the Company sent us a letter requesting that we change the name on
the tariff from Sterling International Funding, Inc. d/b/a Reconex to 1-800-Reconex. The
Secretary of State shows that the Authority issued to Sterling International Funding, Inc. was
administratively revoked on July 8, 1999, and new authority was issued to 1-800-RECONEX
Inc. on July 6, 1998.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends that the name appearing on Certificate of Public Convenience and
Necessity No. 366 be changed to 1-800-RECONEX, Inc. Does the Commission agree?

Please accept this correspondence as a request to change the name of Sterling
International funding, Inc. d/b/a RECONEX ("Sterling ) to 1-800-RECONEX, Inc.
Reconex
On July 29, 1998, Sterling filed a request to change the name on its tariff; however, after
my discussion with Ms. Birdell Brown, it came to my attention that the name change had
not been requested for the Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity; resulting in
two companies being on file with the Commission - one under Sterling and one under
Reconex. Therefore, this correspondence serves as a request to change the name Sterling
International Funding, Inc. d/b/a Reconex to 1-800-RECONEX, Inc. on the Certificate of
Public Convenience and Necessity issued in Order No. 28302:Case No. GNR-97-18.
