SUBJECT: IN THE MATTER INTERMOUNTAIN GAS COMPANY’S
APPLICATION FOR AN EXTENSION OF THE ACCOUNTING ORDER
AUTHORIZING A REGULATORY ASSET FOR THE COSTS
ASSOCIATED WITH CUSTOMER PAYMENT TRANSACTIONS
HANDLED BY WESTERN UNION; CASE NO. INT-G-21-02.
On February 19, 2021, Intermountain Gas Company (“Intermountain Gas”) requested
the Commission extend Order No. 34099 issued in INT-G-18-01, which authorized
Intermountain Gas to create a regulatory asset to capture the costs associated with in-person pay
station transactions handled by Western Union until February 1, 2021, or until Intermountain
Gas filed a general rate case, whichever happened first.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends the Commission issue a Notice of Application and Notice of
Modified Procedure setting a comment deadline of April 15, 2021, and a reply comment deadline
of April 29, 2021.
