Comment: "Today’s article in the Idaho Press Tribune entitled, “Changes to natural gas pricesand net metering proposed”, request the public to issue input to all three entities concerning a
proposed 3.6% increase for residential customers. I am opposed to such a large increase. Inresearching the Consumer Price Index for 2019, which I would assume was taken into
consideration when setting rate increases, the Indexed Consumer Price Index for 2019 was 1.8.The amount of increase requested by Intermountain Gas is TWICE the inflation growth from
2019. I can only assume the greater increase is being placed on the homeowner because youalso want to grant a decrease of 3.02% to transportation customers and a 1.02% decrease for
T-4 demand customers. While I don’t understand who those customers are, I’m unsure whythe homeowners should carry the increased burden. While I recognize that business costs
money, I would like to see more justification from Intermountain Gas showing that the regularconsumer is to blame for their increased costs to warrant double the inflation rate of an
increase. "
