On February 22,2018, Intermountain Gas Company applied for au&ority to create a regulatory asset to capture the costs associated with customer payment transactions handled by Western Union, estimated to total $75,000 to $125,000 annually. The Company asks that it be authorized to (l) recover the regulatory asset in the Company's Purchased Gas Cost Adjustment (PCA) beginning in 2019, and (2) defer costs into the regulatory asset until the earlier of February 1,2AZl, or when the Company files a general rate case. The Commission issued a Notice of Application and set a deadline for interventions. Order No. 34009. No petitions to intervene were received. Staff and the Company then discussed and agreed upon a proposed schedule for processing the case, described below. STATF RECOMMENDATION Staff recommends that the Cornmission issue a Notice of Modified Procedure, with comments due May 10,2018, and reply comments, if any, due May 17,2018.
