HomeMy WebLinkAbout20150310notice_of_modified_procedure_order_no_33248.pdfOffice of the Secretary Service Date March 10,2015 BEFORE THE IDAHO PUBLIC UTILITIES COMMISSION IN THE MATTER OF INTERMOUNTAIN ) GAS COMPANY’S APPLICATION TO )CASE NO.INT-G-14-02 CHANGE ITS COMPOSITE ) DEPRECIATION AND AMORTIZATION )NOTICE OF RATES.)MODIFIED PROCEDURE ) ______________________________ )ORDER NO.33248 On November 4,2014,Intermountain Gas Company applied to increase its:(1) composite depreciation rate from 3.07%(3.06%when weighted by December 31,2010 assets)to 3.12%;and (2)total General Plant account amortizations from $1,749,970 to $2,598,813.The Company says it needs these accounting changes because it has been under-depreciating its assets and under-amortizing General Plant account Nos.391,393,394,395,397 and 398.If the changes are approved,the Company’s books would reflect them as of January 1,2015,consistent with the start of the Company’s financial reporting period.The proposed changes would not increase customer rates. On November 12,2014,the Commission issued a Notice of Application and set a November 26,2014 intervention deadline.The Commission also advised persons that they could submit written comments if they did not wish to formally intervene as a party.No one intervened,and no one has filed comments to date. With this Order,the Commission sets a March 19,2015 deadline for interested persons to file written comments in the case.1 NOTICE OF MODIFIED PROCEDURE YOU ARE HEREBY NOTIFIED that the Commission has determined that the public interest may not require a formal hearing in this matter and will proceed under Modified Procedure pursuant to Rules 201 through 204 of the Idaho Public Utilities Commissions Rules of Procedure,IDAPA 31.01.01.201 through .204.The Commission notes that Modified The Application and any supporting workpapers,testimonies and exhibits have been filed with the Commission and are available for public inspection during regular business hours at the Commission’s offices.The Application and testimonies are also available on the Commission’s web site at wwwnucidahoeov.Click on the “File Room” tab at the top of the page,scroll down to “Natural Gas Cases,”and then click on the case number as shown on the front of this document.
