I want to state why an increase is asked for with gasoline prices going down now. We the very
small income families do not get an increase in moneies til after the first of January each
year and our buget is stretched to far now. We live on $1600 a month for three of us with
medical bills going beyound our reach and every thing else being increased, just what do we
live on. My wife and each are 81 years old and beyond the working years. Please why? do rich
people want to get rich off the poor class and older people all the time?

When living on a fixed income, it is difficult to face annual increases in utilities. Is
there no end of increases in site?
If prices have been down recently, perhaps they should not be granted a full 15% increase.

I believe the gas co. is asking for an increase that -will be very di fficul t to meet for low
income and retired people especially at a time when all other high costs are affecting them.
Gas prices have been dropping slightly so this should also be considered.
Speculating on gas costs is also a problem related to this proposed hike. People are doing
everything possible to keep gas bills down but to no avail as prices plummet.
