Dear Public Utilities Commissioners,
The 83% rate increase request is absolutely appalling! This increase means that we will pay
almost double the price for our heating for our home this winter and I am very upset! I've
never taken the time to submit my comments - but we can not afford this. I believe that no
one should expect or deserve any profits throughout the year, including those who will
benefi t from this increase inside the gas companies.
If this increase is approved you will see more wood burning and alternative burning that
create pollutants in our air. I know that we will be burning our wood more to try to reduce
our usagej therefore forcing us to add to the smoke in the air. Many elderly and low income
folks will stop using heatj perhaps having fatalities due to this increase. '
As a tax payer and a utilities customer in good standing, I can see approving an increase of
25-30% with a Claus to lower this rate if the gas prices go down. But to increase 83% is too
much. Do not approve this monstrous request!

Things are getting way out of hand with eveything going up and it has to stop, who can afford

I do not see a need for an increase in Natural Gas prices. Just because crude oil prices are
up does not mean that natural gas prices need to go up too. Unless you can show me a real
need to raise the price I do not see "it.
