Dear Mrs. Partin:
Thank you for expressing your comments and concerns regarding the increase
Intermountain Gas is proposing. You are correct when you state that they told you that you
would receive a lower rate when you installed a gas water heater in addition to your gas furnace.
I believe that after a closer review you will be able to see that you are still paying a lower rate.
Here are the proposed rates for service in the winter:
Customers without a water heater 83432 per Therm
77464 per ThennCustomers 'with a water heater
The confusing part has to do with the increase percentage. Since the customers with a
water heater are paying a lower rate to begin with, they receive a higher percentage increase
compared to the customers without a water heater. However, they are still paying a lower perthere rate.
