Dear Gentlemen,
I am writing in regards to the proposed rate hike applied for by Avista utilities in February 2023.
Myself and many other citizens are already struggling with rate increases across the board for
common necessities such as food,fuel,and housing.
A proposed rate hike by Avista is onlygoing to worsen the situation,weakening the people of
our state.
As a business owner,I know that as good businesses mature,theyfind better ways of
delivering products and services,becoming more efficient as theycompete with other
providers of the same service.
Would you please uphold the antitrust laws of the United States and demand that Avista,
rather than imposing greater fees,join other businesses in becoming more efficient in
delivering their services?A 15%rate hike is unacceptable.
Please fight for us.
