Comment: "I live in Kootenai County and Avista Utilities is my energy provider (gas and electric) I am very concerned about their proposed increase for September 2023 and
September 2024 Avista is asking for an increase of their basic charge from $7.00 to $20.00 on electric and gas for a total of $40.00 a month before any energy usage ( that is a almost a
300% increase)! And a 20% increase in electricity and 3.6% increase in natural gas for Residential Service. I find this to be totally unacceptable! That is an undue burden on the
elderly on a fixed income and the low income residents that Avista serves. Thank you so much for taking the time to address my concerns, Ralph"
