On February 1, 2023, Avista Corporation (“Company”) filed an application
(“Application”) with the Idaho Public Utilities Commission (“Commission”) requesting
authorization to increase its rates for both Electric and Natural Gas service. The Company
requested a September 1, 2023, effective date.
On February 21, 2023, the Commission issued a Notice of Application and Notice of
Intervention Deadline. Order No. 35684. Subsequently, the Commission granted intervention to
Clearwater Paper Corporation, Idaho Forest Group LLC, Walmart Inc., and the Idaho
Conservation League and NW Energy Coalition jointly (collectively the “Intervenors”). Order
Nos. 35704, 35713, and 35719. With this Order, the Commission establishes the following
procedural schedule.

YOU ARE HEREBY NOTIFIED that the Commission establishes the following
procedural schedule:
• May 3, 2023: Virtual Public Workshop starting at 6:00 p.m. (MDT) and
ending at 9:00 p.m. (MDT), or until all customer questions have been answered,
whichever comes first.
• June 14, 2023: Commission Staff and Intervenor written testimony
deadline.
• July 12, 2023: Company Rebuttal written testimony deadline.
• August 1, 2023: Technical Hearing starting at 9:00 a.m. (MDT) and ending
at 5:00 p.m. (MDT).

• August 2-3, 2023: Technical Hearing continued as needed each day starting at
9:00 a.m. (MDT) and ending at 5:00 p.m. (MDT).

YOU ARE FURTHER NOTIFIED that all testimony and exhibits in this matter must
comport with the requirements of Commission Rules of Procedure 231 and 267. IDAPA
31.01.01.231 and .267.
YOU ARE FURTHER NOTIFIED that the Commission will hold a Public Customer
Hearing at a time, date, and location to be set by a subsequent Commission order.

online, public, informational workshop on WEDNESDAY, MAY 3, 2023, starting at 6:00 p.m.
(MDT) and ending at 9:00 p.m. (MDT), or after all customer questions have been answered,
whichever comes first. The purpose of the workshop is to provide the public with an overview of
the Application. At the start of the workshop, Staff will give a presentation on the Application.
Following the presentation, the public may ask Staff questions about the Application. To

YOU ARE FURTHER NOTIFIED that the Commission will conduct a technical hearing
in this matter on TUESDAY, AUGUST 1, 2023, starting at 9:00 a.m. (MDT) and ending at
5:00 p.m. (MDT). The technical hearing shall continue as necessary each day, AUGUST 2-3,
2023, starting at 9:00 a.m. (MDT) and ending at 5:00 p.m. (MDT). The technical hearing will
be held at the Idaho Public Utilities Commission, 11331 W. Chinden Boulevard, Building 8,
Suite 201-A, Boise, ID 83714. A technical hearing is an opportunity for the parties to the case to
present witnesses, testimony, and exhibits. IDAPA 31.01.01.241.04. Persons interested in listening
