Comment: I recently recieved a letter from Avista Utilities explaining that they would be asking the ldaho PUC to allow
them to raise their gas rates. I would like to ask the commission to not allow this rate increase. Avista does use a large
amount of expense advertising their services. lt does seem hard for the consumer to understand why they are asking for
rate increase when they are recording 11% increase in profits. Spokesman review article Feburary of 2OL7 .ln the article
it is stated that the Washington Utilities ans Transportation Commission decided not to allow the Avista Utilities to have
a rate increase. I aks that The ldaho Public Utilies Commission follow in their example. As a resident of ldaho I find it
hard to have to pay for the infrastructure in Washington state when that state did not support the increase.
