Avista Requests to Resume Natural Gas Energy Efficiency Programs
in ldaho
Price adjustment would take effect Jan. 1, 2016
SPOKANE, Wash. Nov. 13, 2015,1:30 p.m. PST: Avista filed an application with the ldaho
Public Utilities Commission (IPUC or Commission) requesting to resume natural gas energy
efficiency programs and an increase to Schedule 191, "Energy Efficiency Rider Adjustment."
Schedule 191 is designed to fund the programs and recover the costs incurred by Avista
associated with providing natural gas energy efficiency services to customers. The estimated
annual revenue change associated with this filing is an increase of approximately $1.25 million
for natural gas Schedule 191 , or an increase of 1.7 percent in overall billed rates, to be effective
Jan. 1,2016.
lf the request is approved, Avista residential customers using an average of 61 therms per
month could expect their bill to increase by $t . t 1 , beginning Jan. 1, 2016.
Rate Application Procedure
Avista's application is a proposal, subject to public review and a Commission decision. A copy
of the application is available for public review at the offices and websites of both the
Commission and Avista (reference AVU-G-15-03). The Commission will conduct a
comprehensive review of Avista's application and will seek public input on the request. lf you
