RE:Avista’s request for electric rate increases
To whom it may concern:
I have a question about the requested rate increase by Avista.
What I am wondering is if,when making the decision to accept or
deny their requests,do you ever look at the salaries of the top
executives?
It is readily available on the web.Just for your information
the total compensation (salaries, equity and other)for the top
five executives (reported on 2014 taxes)was well over
$8,500,000.00.Is there any amount of the requested rate
increase going to further inflate these salaries?
Many people who live in Idaho have fixed incomes, and some are
living just above the poverty level. This increase over the two
year period may be more than they can afford. This is why I
think this huge rate increase should be denied.
Thank you foi’your time.
Sincerely,
Jean Jewell

Comment:a rate increase of this amount is in excess of the ability of the average rate payer
to justify.please carefully consider the economic status of the people of north idaho when
voting on this proposal.in my opinion, avista has historically been granted the majority of
their requests for increased rates.they need to told no.thank you for the opportunity to
comment respectfully,doug bottcher
