Comment:We go through this sort of thing with Avista nearly every year.
“(C)hanges in...cost of natural gas the Company acquires”is a direct result of the policies
in Washington.
Ours is a country rich in energy resources.
Avista is the only source gas and electric for most of us.Many of us are just barely making
do--the people in Washington are seeing to that.
Raising rates won’t do anyone a bit of good if they can’t afford to pay for it.
Avista should take an ethical and moral stand by advocating for its users--go to Washington,
if need be,and speak out against shutting down coal plants and other sources of power and
energy.
