I sincerely hope that the IPUC heavily scrutinizes this latest rate increase by Avista and
leverages good judgement by declining the request. It's become clear that the IPUC has
provided Avista with a 'rubber stamp' approval for its recent rate increases, while the WA
state PUC has been more diligent at denying unwarranted requests. It seems as though the IPUC
and Avista feel that it's enough to state that 'assistance programs are available to
customers in need. I'm tired of this repeated excuse. It's time for the IPUC to stand up to
the corporate interests for once. I will be contacting all of my state legistators as well to
voice my displeasure with the IPUC.
