Today I received my utility bill, gas and electric, from Avista. They incerted a flyer stating that they would once
again request a raise in their prices. Didn't they just receive a raise? I know that they did because I contacted
you about it the last time. The nation is in a pickle and they want more money. I receive SSI and am on a fixed
income and cannot work at all or I will be penalized by the Social Security system, therefore a raise in utilities
will greatly impoverish more so than the last raise that you granted Avista. This must stop, and you are the
people to stop it. Where I live the electricity comes from the Post Falls Dam and should cost them any more
than it was the last time they asked for a hike. Gas may have gone up but I don't care. They make millions a
year and we poor folk pay for it. I am tired of paying for new construction. I hate seeing all the new houses in
my area, once rual now suburban. You have the chance to stop the big corporations from gouging the people
that pay your salaries, it is imparative that you do so. Thank you for your time and consideration.
