Dear Sirs:
My wife and I recently read in the newspaper, that the Avista corporation has
once again asked to increase the cost of Gas and Electricity usage to customers.
This seems to be an extremely high amount. As you surely have realized people
arehåvingahàrd enough time making ends meet, surely the CEOs of a huge
corporati.on such as Avista could perhaps take a pay cut so many people,

especially senior citizens do not have to give up food or medicine so they are able
to pay their utilty bills.
We would think a smaller increase would be sufficient during these very difficult
times when people are struggling to make ends meet.
We have written beforeJ protesting their requests for high rate increases and they
always seem to be granted, but we keep trying to make sense of Avistas ability to
always convince the Utilities Commissions in the state of Idaho and Washington
to always grant them their raise requests.
