MAY 18, 2001 - 1:30 P.M.
In attendance were Commissioners Paul Kjellander, Marsha Smith, and Dennis Hansen.
Commissioner Kjellander called the meeting to order. The only order of business was RULEMAKING:
John Hammond's May 14, 2001 Decision Memorandum re: Negotiated Rulemaking—Proposed Revision of Operator Services and Pay Telephone Rules (IDAPA 31.51.01.000 ET SEQ).
John Hammond reviewed his Decision Memorandum, stating that the parties had agreed to the substantive rule changes.
Commissioner Smith confirmed with Mr. Hammond that the rules are going out for comments and that everyone who participated in the workshop agreed with the changes being proposed. Mr. Hammond confirmed that was the case and the rules were being published in the Administrative Bulletin. Commissioner Smith noted the Commission undertook the rule changes in an effort to be responsive to some of the industry's desires to update the rules. She made a motion that the Commission put the rules out for comments and then the Commission will deliberate on the individual rule changes after comments have been received.
There was no further discussion on the motion. A vote was taken and the motion carried unanimously.
Being no other items on the agenda, Commissioner Kjellander adjourned the meeting.
