To Whom It May Concern:
Ths mornng while I was watching TV news, it was anounced that incentive pay was
being issued to top executives in A vista. If A vista is unble to fuction without a rate
increase, how can these incentives be paid? The amount being paid was quite a
stagerig figue.
In a previous letter I referred to their having to cut the "fluf', because we who pay for
the electrcity are feeling the cruch of the ths recession/depression our countr is
experiencing. Those of us who have no employment or are on an extemely reduced
budget canot stad more rate increases. Also since the A vista Company has shown a
substatial profit, it is mystiing as to why they need ths increase once agai.
Whle I was employed, my incentive was as follows: "Get to work or you are fired."
Pleas tae all ths into consideration while reviewing their plan.
Th you for your time.
Sincerely ~o~s, /¡J~,~f.ette J. *emp 'f

Please describe your comment briefly:
Avista has a monopoly in our area,we have no other choice other than to use them as our
utili ty company.
Following the report of the extra payments made to Avista execs., and the profit made by the
company, how dare they apply for a 7%+ increase in utility rates? Since you are the people
who regulate, and either approve or reject these increases in consumer rates, please do your
job, and suggest that instead of paying their execs. huge salaries and bonus, they should
apply their profits to the things they say they need the rate increase to cover!
How dare they ask for this increase, and shame on you if you approve it over the backs of
people who are struggling financially.
