I am struggling to make ends get close let alone meet and I am not alone. Businesses are struggling, residents are struggling. Avista is able to payout to stockholders. It is time for everyone to tighten belts and make due with what they have and that includes Avista. This utility is much too quick to pass ALL EXPENSES on to the trapped customers. We have no choice but to use them. Please deny this increase. $10.00 more will have to come out of my food or gas budget which is very, very tight now. I have no problem if Avista is i passing through' their cost increases. However, in the last few months energy costs for crude oil and natural gas have drastically decreased, so there is no justification for Avista to file for a rate increase of that magnitude. It seems like every time a utility wants to raise rates your group just goes along. There are a whole lot of people out here that are out of work or just barely get by, for once why don i t you tell Avista to tighten their belts and get along with what they already get. I thought the objective of your group was to see that there was fairness to customers in prices , if this increase goes through at 3.2% perhaps we as Idaho citizens should .look closer at how your group arrives at it i S decisions.
