A VU-E-08-01 ) A VU-G-08-01 ) ) NOTICE OF PUBLIC ) WORKSHOPS ) On April 3, 2008, Avista Corporation dba Avista Utilities (Avista; Company) fied an Application with the Idaho Public Utilties Commission (Commission) for authority to increase the Company's general rates for electric and natural gas service in Idaho by averages of 15.8% and 5.8%, respectively. If approved, the Company revenues for electric base retail rates would increase by $32.3 milion anually; Company revenues for natural gas service would increase by $4.7 millon anually. The net amount of actual increase vares by class of customer and usage. On April 16, 2008, the Commission issued a Notice of Application, Intervention Deadline, and Prehearing Conference in Case Nos. AVU-E-08-01 and AVU-G-08-0L. Paries requesting and granted intervention were: Potlatch Corporation and Community Action Parership Association of Idaho (CAPAI). YOU ARE HEREBY NOTIFIED that Commission Staff will hold a public workshop for Avista customers on WEDNESDAY, JULY 23, 2008, AT 7:00 P.M. AT THE BEST WESTERN UNIVERSITY INN, 1516 PULLMAN ROAD, MOSCOW, IDAHO. At this meeting customers will have an opportunity to hear from Commission Staff regarding the Company's Application in Case Nos. AVU-E-08-01 and A VU-G-08-01 and to ask questions of Staff and Company representatives. YOU ARE FURTHER NOTIFIED that Commission Staff will hold a second public workshop for Avista customers on THURSDAY, JULY 24, 2008, AT 7:00 P.M. AT THE BEST WESTERN COEUR D'ALENE IN, 506 W. APPLEWAY AVENUE, COEUR D' ALENE, IDAHO. At this meeting customers will have the same opportunity to hear from Commission Staf regarding the Company's Application in Case Nos. A VU-E-08-01 and A VU- G-08-0 1 and to ask questions of Staf and representatives of the Company. NOTICE OF PUBLIC WORKSHOPS 1 YOU ARE FURTHER NOTIFIED that the Application together with supporting workpapers, testimonies and exhibits (if any), have been filed with the Commission and are available for public inspection during regular business hours at the Commission offces. The Application and testimonies may also be viewed on the Commission's website at ww.puc.idaho.gov by clicking on "File Room" and then "Electric Cases" and/or "Gas Cases." YOU ARE FURTHER NOTIFIED that all proceedings in this case wil be held pursuant to the Commission's jursdiction under Title 61 of the Idaho Code and that the Commission may enter any final Order consistent with its authority under Title 61. YOU ARE FURTHER NOTIFIED that all proceedings in this matter will be conducted according to the Commission's Rules of Procedure, IDAPA 31.01.01.000, et seq.
