AN APPLICATION TO APPROVE AN AMENDMENT TO THE INTERCONNECTION AGREEMENT BETWEEN
U S WEST & U.S. CELLULAR

Attached is a memorandum to Jean Jewell, Commission Secretary, from Wayne Hart, Telecommunications Analyst, requesting closure of Case No. USW-T-97-08, which is an Application to approve an amendment to the interconnection agreement between U S WEST and U. S. Cellular. For reasons explained in the attached memo, the amendment became effective without formal Commission action, so staff recommends that the case be closed.

Therefore, the Commission hereby approves Staff's recommendation that the case be closed.
