NEWS RELEASE:Commission to hold a show cause hearing for Atlanta Power
BOISE (Feb.2,2022)-The Idaho Public Utilities Commission will hold a show cause hearing onFebruary23,2022,commencing at 2:00 p.m.in the Commission Hearing Room,11331 W.ChindenBlvd.,Building 8,Suite 201-A,Boise,Idaho.
Atlanta Power Company,Inc.,a private utility,providing electric services to customers in Atlanta,Idaho has been ordered to appear before the Commission due to several customer complaints.ThepurposeforthehearingcanbefoundinCaseNo.ATL-E-22-01,Order No.35302.
The Commission has ordered Atlanta Power to appear before the Commission and show cause why theCommissionshouldnot(1)reimpose penalties on the Company resulting from a previous case,(2)impose new penalties on the Company for new and continuing violations and (3)open a newinvestigationintowhethertheCompanyisprovidingsafeandadequateservicetoitscustomers.
No public testimonywill be taken at the hearing,and only the individual(s)summoned willpresentinformationtotheCommission.The Commission may question those individuals.Nocrossexaminationbyanyofthepartiesinthecasewilloccur.
