Honorable Commissioners:
, Timothy Shurtz, a city councilman representing the City of Firth, am requesting intervener
status for myself in case # P AC- E-03-05. The Firth City Council voted unanimously to request
intervention in this case on February 10, 2004. On the grounds that we have granted Utah Power
the sole franchise for providing power within the City of Firth, we feel that we have a substantial
interest in any possible change of tariffs charged within the City of Firth. I also have had other
people within the larger Utah Power service area express concern to me on the up coming case
before you. Therefore, I would like to be granted intervener status. I will not expand on other
issues outside this case.
