I just want to express my concern about these "energy efficiency programs" "on behalf of
customers" and their rate hike which has been applied for.
1.It would appear that energy efficiency improvements to homes should be a voluntary
decision, otherwise laws and legal mandates would require the updates on older
homes.
2.It seems that we as consumers are being charged through these "energy efficiency
charges" for things that we may not voluntarily want, adding to financial stress to some
consumers, even though you think it is a miniscule amount.
3. It appears that these efficiency programs are invested into by the power company(s)
with the idea that 'it is easier to ask forgiveness than permission', in essence saying we
can do this now without worry and the consumers will be charged and MADE to pay for
it later as part of their power bill.
I realize I am one individual, with virtually zero influence on your corporation, but I wanted to
forward my concerns, or maybe just vent.
