SUBJECT: IN THE MATTER OF ROCKY MOUNTAIN POWER’S APPLICATION
FOR AUTHORITY TO INCREASE ITS RATES AND CHARGES IN
IDAHO AND APPROVAL OF PROPOSED ELECTRIC SERVICE
SCHEDULES AND REGULATIONS; CASE NO. PAC-E-21-07.
On May 27, 2021, PacifiCorp dba Rocky Mountain Power (“Company”) applied to the
Commission requesting authority to increase its Idaho jurisdictional revenue requirement by $19.0
million, or approximately 7.0 percent. The Company requests a July 1, 2021, effective date.
On June 17, 2021, the Commission issued a Notice of Application, a suspension of the
proposed effective date, and a Notice of Intervention Deadline. Order No. 35079. Community
Action Partnership Association of Idaho (“CAPAI”), Idaho Conservation League (“ICL”), and
others intervened in the case. See Order Nos. 35106 and 35112.
On October 4, 2021, CAPAI filed a motion for withdrawal pursuant to Commission
Rule 45, IDAPA 31.01.01.045. CAPAI cited the recent replacement of its Executive Director as a
reason for its requested withdrawal.
On October 12, 2021, ICL filed a notice of withdrawal stating that it took “no position
on the issues and any outcomes in [the] case.” ICL withdrew due to its capacity to adequately
engage in the case.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends the Commission grant ICL and CAPAI’s withdrawal from this case.
Additionally, Staff recommends the Commission direct the Commission Secretary to issue a
Second Amended Notice of Parties to memorialize ICL and CAPAI’s withdrawal from this case.
