UPDATES TO CAPACITY DEFICIENCY AND INTEGRATION CHARGES USED IN
DETERMINING AVOIDED COST RATES; ORDER NO.34918 IN CASE NO. PAC-E-
20.T3 AND ORDER NO. 34966 IN CASE NO. PAC.E-20.14
On April 12, 2021, Rocky Mountain Power received a letter from the Idaho Public Utilities
Commission informing the Company that in compliance with Order No. 34918 in Case No. PAC-
E-20-13 updating the first capacity deficiency date and Order No. 34966 in Case No. PAC-E-20-14
updating the Company's wind and solar integration charges, Staff updated the Surrogate Avoided
Resource (SAR) model and re-calculated avoided cost rates.
Staff provided two SAR models along with Afiachment A containing the latest published avoided
cost rates for new contracts and Attachment B showing the latest published avoided cost rates for
replacement contracts.
Rocky Mountain Power has reviewed the attachments and acknowledges that the updates to the
SAR model and the calculations were made correctly.
