PAC-E-19-08 IN THE MATTER OF THE APPLICATION OF ROCKY MOUNTAIN POWER TO CLOSE THE NET METERING PROGRAM TO NEW SERVICE & IMPLEMENT A NET BILLING PROGRAM TO COMPENSATE CUSTOMER GENERATORS FOR EXPORTED GENERATION IN THE MATTER OF THE APPLICATION OF ROCKY MOUNTAIN POWER TO CLOSE THE NET METERING PROGRAM TO NEW SERVICE & IMPLEMENT A NET BILLING PROGRAM TO COMPENSATE CUSTOMER GENERATORS FOR EXPORTED GENERATION Dear Commissioner, May we first say thank you! We appreciate the opportunity to use electricity. Life would be extremely difficult without it. We have solar, and we are blessed to be on Schedule 135. It is working for us to help pay for the expensive solar system we bought. We have been notified of the proposed change. We are hoping that the commission rejects the utility's application. We appreciate the proposal that we would be "grandfathered" for the next ten years. However, the term "grandfathered" by definition means never changed nor ended. We would beseech you to let us keep on our current system perpetually. The electric company should never be allowed to charge more per KWH than they credit the solar producers towards their future usage. If they lower the rate they credit us, they should also lower the rate they charge us. We are grateful there is a commission to keep them honest. We already have to pay a base rate of $14 per month instead of the regular $5 for the privilege of using Schedule 135. This should give them some compensation. Thank you for your time.
