Annual energy
cost adiustment
Proposed net price reduction
Rocky Mountain Power requests
recovery of power costs.
On March 29,2019, Rocky Mountain Power asked the ldaho
Public Utilities Commission to approve the 201 8 incremental
energy related costs of $ l5.l million, a net increase of $4.e
million above the revenues currently collected through
the energy cost adjustment mechanism. The energy cost
adjustment mechanism is designed to trackthe difference
between the company's actual costs to provide electricity to
ldaho customers and the amount collected from customers
through cu rrent prices.
While energy costs were higher in 2018, the incremental
increase is offset by $a.7 million of savings from the 20lB
Federal Tax Act. The net bill impact to customers will be a
decrease totaling $ 131,000. Pending commission approval,
the decrease would take effectJune I ,2019.
All customer classes will see a net reduction to their rates
resulting from the recent changes in costs of providing
energy to customers, together with adjustments stemming
from federal tax changes. The proposed adjustment will
allow Rocky Mountain Powerto continue to provide safe,
reliable electric service to its customers,

Price decrease proposed for ldaho customers
BOISE, Idaho, April 2, 2019-Rocky Mountain Power has proposed a 0.01 percent overall decrease
on bills for Idaho customers, resulting from the recent changes in costs of providing energy to
customers, together with adjustments stemming from federal tax changes. Typical residential

amount being collected from customers through current rates. While these costs were higher in
2018, that amount is more than offset by savings from the 2018 Federal Tax Act. The net bill impact
to customers will be a decrease totaling $131,000 for the company's 82,000 customers in Idaho.
Pending commission approval, the decrease from federal tax changes would take effect effective
