HomeMy WebLinkAbout20180423notice_of_telephonic_public_hearing.pdfOffice of the Secretary Service Date April 23,2018 BEFORE THE IDAHO PUBLIC UTILITIES COMMISSION IN THE MATTER OF THE APPLICATION )CASE NO.PAC-E-17-07 OF ROCKY MOUNTAIN POWER FOR A )CERTIFICATE OF PUBLIC CONVENIENCE )NOTICE OF TELEPHONIC AND NECESSITY AND BINDING )PUBLIC HEARING RATEMAKING TREATMENT FOR NEW )WIND AND TRANSMISSION FACILITIES ) On July 3,2017,Rocky Mountain Power applied for a certificate of public convenience and necessity (CPCN)to construct or acquire four new wind projects with a total combined capacity of 860 megawatts.The Company also requested CPCNs for several transmission facilities,portions of which are associated with the Company's Gateway West transmission project.The Company also requested approval of binding ratemaking treatment for the investment in the combined projects,in accordance with Idaho Code §61-541.The Company has claimed that the projects will provide significant economic benefits for the Company's customers. The Commission will conduct a telephonic hearing,as described below.The purpose of the public hearing is to take testimony from customers and other interested members of the public.Testimony will be made part of the Commission's formal record. NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING YOU ARE HEREBY NOTIFIED that the Commission will conduct a telephonic public hearing in this matter on THURSDAY,MAY 3,2018,AT 6:00 P.M.MDT.To participate,interested persons can call 1-800-920-7487 at the designated time,and enter the passcode 6674832#when prompted. YOU ARE FURTHER NOTIFIED that all proceedings will be held pursuant to the Commission's jurisdiction under Title 61 of the Idaho Code.The Commission may enter any final Order consistent with its authority under Title 61.All proceedings will be conducted pursuant to the Commission's Rules of Procedure,IDAPA 31.01.01.000,etseq.
