HomeMy WebLinkAbout20171101order_no_33927.pdfOffice of the Secretary Service Date November 1,2017 BEFORE THE IDAHO PUBLIC UTILITIES COMMISSION IN THE MATTER OF THE APPLICATION )CASE NO.PAC-E-17-06 OF ROCKY MOUNTAIN POWER FOR ) BINDING RATEMAKING TREATMENT )FOR WIND REPOWERING )ORDER NO.33927 On July 3,2017,Rocky Mountain Power applied for a Commission determination on the Company plan to upgrade,or "repower,"wind resources,and approval of certain rate-making treatment.The Company claimed that the repowering would increase production,reduce costs, and qualify for federal production tax credits.The Company also requested binding ratemaking treatment associated with the investment. On October 20,2017,Staff reported to the Commission that settlement of the matter had been reached,and moved the Commission to vacate the scheduling order,keep the scheduled technical hearing on December 7,2017,in place (Order No.33850)and stay further discovery. With this Order,we adopt the proposal of the parties to vacate the schedule,but keeping in place the December 7,2017,tecimical hearing.The parties will submit a suggested schedule with a proposed settlement. O RD ER IT IS HEREBY ORDERED that the Commission vacates the existing procedural schedule set forth in Order No.33850,keeping in place the December 7,2017,technical hearing. IT IS FURTHER ORDERED further discovery in this matter is stayed. IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that the parties submit a proposed procedural schedule when they file the proposed settlement documents.
