Thank you for your letter and worksheets dated May 16, 2017, in which you provided the
Surrogate Avoided Resource rates updated to incorporate the U.S. Energy Information
Administration's (EIA's) release of a new natural gas price forecast in their Annual Energy
Outlook 2017 issued January 5,2017.
PacifiCorp has reviewed staff s update to the SAR model incorporating EIA's gas forecast and
the resulting published avoided cost rates. This letter acknowledges that the rates have been
updated correctly and that the Company accepts the new schedules as accurate.
