MOTION TO VACATE
COMMENT SCHEDULE
COMES NOW the Staff of the Idaho Public Utilities Commission, by and through its
Attorney of Record, D. Neil Price, Deputy Attorney General, to submit the foregoing Motion to
Vacate Comment Schedule.
PROCEDURAL BACKGROUND
On May 27,2015, PacifiCorp dba Rocky Mountain Power ("Rocky Mountain" or
"Company") submitted an Application seeking a Commission Order authorizing the Company
to: (l) increase rates by $10.2 million, or 3.9 percent on average, effective January 1,2016, as
summarized in the Electric Service Schedules attached to the Application; and (2) modify the
Energy Cost Adjustment Mechanism ("ECAM"). Rocky Mountain requests that the
Commission process its Application through Modified Procedure.
On June 11,2015, the Commission issued an Order granting Petitions to Intervene
filed by Monsanto Company ("Monsanto") and PacifiCorp Idaho Industrial Customers ("PIIC").
See Order No. 33321. On July 7,2015, the Commission issued an Order granting the Petition to
Intervene filed by Idaho Irrigation Pumpers Association, Inc. ("IIPA"). See Order No. 33333.
MOTION TO VACATE
COMMENT SCHEDULE
On July 9, 2015, Commission Staff, Rocky Mountain and the aforementioned
Intervening Parties (collectively referred to as "the Parties") engaged in a teleconference call and
agreed upon a schedule for written comments. On July 15,2015, the Commission issued a
Notice of Modified Procedure and Notice of Schedule and Settlement Conference. See Order
No.33339.
MOTION TO VACATE COMMENT SCHEDULE
On August 11,2015, a settlement conference, attended by the Parties, was held at the
Commission in Boise, Idaho. Subsequently, the Parties agreed to a draft version of a Stipulated
Settlement Agreement ("Agreement") purporting to resolve the outstanding issues in this case.
The Parties plan to submit a final Agreement to the Commission within the next seven to ten
days. In the interim, Staff contacted the Company and each of the intervening parties
individually and secured their assent to the filing of this Motion. The Parties agree to vacate the
existing schedule for the filing of written comments and Company reply comments. Therefore,
the Parties respectfully request that the Commission vacate the current comment schedule, as
outlined in Commission Order No. 33339.
