Comment:Please do not change the 20 year contract term with clean energy providers to a 2
year contract term.I support growing Idaho’s clean energy sector and a short contract would
make it impossible for clean energy developers to finance new projects.I don’t want Idaho
to continue to be dependent on OUT OF STATE and DIRTY FOSSIL FUELS.Thank you,Elaine

Comment:I am writing to speak against the proposal to change the 20 year lease option to a
two year lease now in place for solar power developers.I think this hurts private land
owners in Idaho. What is the added value in this proposal for us?Why would the Idaho PUC
move to severely limit this new option for us the land owner. It is already a struggle for
many small farmers and land owners to make a living and keep our rural communities viable and
attractive for our kids to stay. Please keep the 20-year contracts with clean energy in
place.I think moving to 2 year maximum contracts will would make it impossible to finance
new projects and shut down an important new option for rural communities.I ask you to
support small land owners by keeping the 20 year lease in place.
Respectfully,Carl Jones
