To whom it may concern:
I wish to protest the rate increase being proposed by Rocky Mountain Power.As
a retired person on a fixed income,it is becoming more challenging to keep up
with the increases in just about everything lately.
A few months ago Rocky Mountain seemed to be in good enough shape to be
giving away shower heads,faucet parts,and light bulbs.We received one of
these Watt Smart kits only to find out that none of the parts fit our plumbing,and
the light bulbs,the equivalent of 60 watts,not enough for these old eyes.Our
daughter received one of the kits also,and the parts didn’t fit her plumbing
either.
The last couple of months we have received a letter comparing our energy usage
to 100 other unknown households.We found that very offensive.The letters
were sent during the coldest months when we were heating only two rooms in
our house with little wall heaters.We habitually turn off the lights not being
used,mainly the majority of the house.We got one of their energy-smart fridges.
The difference I can see with our neighbors is that they are burning wood.That
apparently is the way to go.
If this is just their standard,expected increase,I would hope you would give it a
thorough looking over before approving it.Do they really deserve it??
