On December 15,2014,PacifiCorp dba Rocky Mountain Power (“Rocky Mountain”
or “Company”)filed an Application with the Idaho Public Utilities Commission
(“Commission”),pursuant to Idaho Code §61-328,for approval of a transaction to close the
Deer Creek Mine located near Huntington,Utah,and for a deferred accounting order.The mine
is currently operated by Energy West Mining Company (“Energy West”),a wholly owned
subsidiary consolidated with PacifiCorp for regulatory purposes.
NOTICE OF SETTLEMENT CONFERENCE
YOU ARE HEREBY NOTIFiED that on WEDNESDAY,MAY 13,2015 AT 1:00
P.M.(MST)IN THE COMMISSION HEARING ROOM,472 W.WASHINGTON,
BOISE,IDAHO a Settlement Conference will be held for parties in this case to consider Rocky
Mountain’s Application for a deferred accounting order pertaining to the closure of Deer Creek.
YOU ARE FURTHER NOTIFIED that the Commission is not bound by any
settlement reached by the parties.The Commission will independently review any proposed
settlement to determine whether the settlement is just,fair and reasonable,and in the public
interest,or otherwise in accordance with law or regulatory policy.The Commission may accept
the settlement,reject the settlement,or state additional conditions under which the settlement
will be accepted.IDAPA 31.0l.01.274-.276.
YOU ARE FURTHER NOTIFIED that the settlement conference will be held in
facilities meeting the accessibility requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
Parties needing the help of a sign language interpreter or other assistance in order to participate
in the settlement conference may ask the Commission to provide a sign language interpreter or
other assistance:
