Estimated energy costs are just one component of an electricity bilL. These costs are primarily the fuel Rocky Mountain Power uses to generate electricity and the electricity the company purchases from other providers to serve customers. Energy costs are routinely adjusted by Idaho electric utilities to reflect the actual costs to serve customers. Rocky Mountain Power has requested that the Idaho Public Utilities Commission review an energy cost true-up for Dec. 1, 2009 through Nov. 30, 2010. Rocky Mountain Power keeps energy costs as low as possible by analyzing the best mix of choices for producing safe, reliable electricity. The energy cost true-up ensures that customers pay only the actual costs for the energy used to serve their homes and businesses. j .~ to"t ~ ci ¡: ig The utility's request of $12.8 milion is $11.0 millon higher than the current Schedule 94 rate, and if approved by the commission, would have the following impacts on customers rates: .
