I represent a Bingham County local Heavy Civil Construction company. We have been following
the development of the Cedar Creek Wind Farm since it's inception. This windfarm has the
potential to provide hundreds of local jobs, for our local residents creating and encouraging
the growth of the Idaho economy in Bingham County. Please do everything possible to ensure
that the Cedar Creek Wind Farm will continue to be developed, providing a stimulus to the
local economy.

This comment is in regard to the Cedar Creek Wind Project.... I have been a Real Estate Agent
for 12 plus years and have sold properties/homes in the area in question. The majority of the
people see that the windmills show progression in our city and State. WE NEED THE EXTRA POWER
AND ENERGY. It is important for our growth. We all need to consider the BIG PICTURE here!

I am invol ved with agriculture in Bonneville and Bingham Counties. The Cedar Creek Windmill
Energy project is another example of . added value' to our counties and communi ties as clean,
renewable energy generation. This type of energy generation is beneficial to the overall
economic well-being of the local communi ties. It stimulates jobs and other sources of income
and economic investment to our area. I can think of no other industry with less impact but
with as big of an economic upside as wind generation. As is evident this spring, wind is
probably our biggest resource, as yucky as that may sound we just as well use the wind for
something good besides grumbling about it' s constant presence.

We support the power purchase agreement with cedar creek wind (rattle snake canyon). These
types of wind projects can benefit our communi ties and counties greatly.
Idaho ranks fourth nationally in percentage of population growth - 21.1 percent - from April
2000 to April 2010 according to initial 2010 Census data. That means that Idaho is in much
need of additional energy. Idaho needs energy that is secure, local, reliable, protects the
environment, creates jobs, and provides technological leadership. Idaho needs renewable
energy.
Property tax payments from utility-scale wind projects provide much-needed revenue to rural
communi ties for building new schools, roads, bridges, and other community
infrastructure. Bingham County currently has 64.5 MW of windmill production operating. These
windmills generate a tax revenue amount of $376,250 annually for our county. In addition to
the additional income, tax revenue, and jobs that wind farms bring, money spent on
electricity generated from wind farms stays in the community, creating a ripple effect
throughout the local economy . Within a matter of years, thousands of ranchers could be
earning far more from electricity sales than from cattle sales. Please continue to support
this project.
