This project has been in the planning and approval process for the last few years. It seems that now the public is against all windfarms without consideration oT the merits of each of the individual projects. This particular project is not as visible as the other windfarms in the area that are causing the uproar. In addition, I don't think it is fair that the utility companies make decisions about alternative energy. I understand the Cedar Creek Project is ready to be built and the utility companies are trying to stop the project. It will be a way that Idaho can support the federal government in their pursuit of renewable energy resources. With the influx of people into Idaho, more electricity will be needed and with the wind farm Idaho would not have to rely on other states for electricity, and might possibly be able to even sell power to other states. with the economy being so difficult to manage this project will provide opportunities for employment, which will lessen the need for state support for the unemployed. These jobs will help feed monies into the local businesses. As people earn money, they tend to spend money. As we understand it, the state would receive revenue from the farms as well. Putting this wind farm on property that is otherwise not useable will be taking advantage of such land to help the state. We realize there are concerns about how it will look and its affect on the environment. As we have driven through areas where wind farms have been built, at first we were amazed at them. Before long, they just blended into the surrounding areas and were not so noticeable. We hope that the Cedar Creek Wind Proj ect will be approved, as it will be a benefit to Idaho. Sincerely, Marion and Carole Sawyer The form submitted on http://www . puc. idaho. gov Iforms/ipucl/ipuc. html IP address is 184.76.108.218 1
