In today's depresed economy, the proposed rate increaes of Roky Mountain
Power are unic, borderi on bein imoraL.
It is reog that in any busines, moderate upgades are necessary to
maintain fiancial sol veney. To maintain that solveney totally at the exense of other
businesses and struli consers is wrng! Are there no other fiancin
alternatives? Incresin rates now when ecnomica chaleng ar ru rampant in
so many area of our economy is exremely poor tim. Approval and implementation
now is lie mtting a wounded man wlue he is down totally igori the severity of ms
wounds!
So many in our ar and sooiety in genera ar hurin frm never-endi cost
increases and the inevtable famy relate crises wmch follow. Home foreelosues, job
losses and unemployment are inereain. The dair business and buidi consruction
in our area are strulin. Escalating medcal cos are hurtin everyone. The
homeless population is growi. Ou schools ar strung with fmancial concern.
The space progam cut baks under our present adtration are causin
unemployment for many in our area. Also, there are real concern that the rate
increases will stimulate the grwth of mdden slush fuds for the company elite wmch we
are witnessin in the cunt Obama-era charade!
Rocky Mountain Power's proposed rate increaes are not congent with today's
economica challenges. There is nee to re-evuate these proposals! No, tms is not a
doomsday predction encompassin all of our eeonomica concerns. It is a request for a
common sense focus on the dollar issues wmch ar plag al of us, not just the power
company. Somewhere the price goug must stop. Approval of the rate increases wil
simply add to our problems!

I do not think that Rocky Mountain power needs to increase our bill especially not by 8% or
more. I do not think that i giving the stock holders more money' is a very good reason for
the increase either.

We have become aware of a proposed rate increase that Rocky Mountain Power has asked the
Idaho Public Utilities Commision for. To our understanding, this is an eight percent
increase for the electricity our home uses and a 9.6 percent increase for irrigation.
As dairy fàrmers, we have been very hard hit the past two years. Every single month, I
wonder if our milk check is going to be enough to cover the bills. We are trying to hold on
and wait for better times, but the anxiety as we have seen our farm equity grow smaller and
smaller has been very hard to deal with. Any recovery from this economic downturn has been
extremely slow in coming. This has been especially true for dairy farmers.
We ask you not to grant Rocky Mountain Power it i S rate increase. It is a horrible time to
increase utility rates. Idaho residents and businesses are already struggling. Please don't
make it worse.
