If Rocky Mountain power was asking for a rate increase in order to operate and provide power
at a reasonable price, I wouldn't be so upset. But we understand that this rate increase is
simply to pad stockholders pockets. If the rates go up, there i s a lot of people down here
that are going to have to keep their heat down just to pay their bill. Farmers cannot afford
any more increases to their expenses--especially with farm commodities prices falling. We
would like more access to Idaho Power. Right now, the ONLY choice we have is Rocky Mountain
Power. If there is not to be any competition, then power needs to be more affordable--
stockholders don i t need any more money.
