Rocky Mountain Power wants to raise power rates. In an economy where people are losing
jobs, raising our rates will cause harm to many people. This is an area that provides our
country with food. If the farmer's costs go up, so does everyone's food prices. Yet Rocky
Mountain Power proposes to raise the rates to irrigators by 9.6% Some people are on i time of
use,' being very careful to cut energy use during main energy use times. Those people could
have their rates raised 15.6%. These are people who are trying to save energy, and yet their
rates are being raised substantially. This is not a good time to raise anyone's rates. But
remember, when you raise rates on farmers, you hurt the entire country. Food is important to
everyone.
