Please describe your comment briefly:Sept. 22, 2010 I attended the
information meeting last night in Preston and all through the meeting asked myself the
question 'What incentive does Rocky Mountain Power have to work more efficient and hold cost
down.' I came away with the answer, 'They have none. The more they can spend the more dollars
they can recoop from the payees unless the Public Utilities Commission is very shrewd and
that is we, the Public's, only hope.
I am Superintendent of the West Side School District. Two years ago we took a 5% decrease in
State Budget dollars. Last year we took an 8.5% decrease in state funding with a warning from
the Governor and Le~islature to budget for a 13% decrease because that look eminent. I can't
in good faith to my students budget find another dollar to pay fixed cost. Please, please be
responsible and go back with a decrease in power cost that reflects the economy not anincrease. Melvin Beutler, Superintendent West Side
