On September 30, 2010, PacifiCorp dba Rocky Mountain Power (PacifiCorp;
Company) made a supplemental testimony filing with the Idaho Public Utilities Commission
(Commission) in Case No. PAC-1O-07 regarding the economic valuation of interruptible
products (operating reserve, economic curtailment, and system integrity) offered by Monsanto
Company and purchased by PacifiCorp. The Monsanto/PacifiCorp business relationship is
currently defined by a 2008 Service Agreement and electric tariff Schedule 400. The Service
Agreement expires December 31 , 2010.
On October 1 2010, Monsanto filed a Motion to Dismiss (the rate case) or Strike (the
supplemental) Testimony (of Paul Clements). On October 8 , 2010, PacifiCorp and Commission
Staff filed Answers to Monsanto s Motion. Staff recommends that the issue presented by the
Supplemental Testimony of Paul Clements be moved to a new case. Monsanto and PacifiCorp
oppose Staff s recommendation. The rate case is scheduled for technical hearing beginning
November 30 2010. The current suspension period for the Company s general rate case expires
December 28, 2010. The Commission finds it reasonable to require oral argument on the
procedural issues raised in the recent filings and for good cause shown, that being the current
procedural schedule in Case No. PAC-10-, to process and schedule the argument on an
expedited basis. IDAPA 31.01.01.241.01.
YOU ARE HEREBY NOTIFIED that Oral Argument regarding the procedural
issues presented by PacifiCorp s September 30 2010 supplemental testimony filing, Monsanto
October 1 , 2010 Motions and PacifiCorp and Staffs October 8, 2010 Answers is scheduled for
public hearing on MONDAY. OCTOBER 18. 2010. COMMENCING AT 1:00 P.M. IN THE
COMMISSION'S HEARING ROOM. 472 WEST WASHINGTON STREET. BOISE.

YOU ARE FURTHER NOTIFIED that all hearings and preheaTing conferences in
this matter will be held in facilities meeting the accessibility requirements of the Americans with
Disabilities Act (ADA). Persons needing the help of a sign language interpreter or other
assistance in order to participate in or to understand testimony and argument at a public hearing
may ask the Commission to provide a sign language interpreter or other assistance at the hearing.
