PUBLIC WORKSHOPS
On May 28, 2010, PacifiCorp dba Rocky Mountain Power ("Rocky Mountain" or
Company ) filed an Application for authority to increase the Company s general rates for
electric service by an average of 13.7%. If approved, the Company s revenues for electric base
retail rates would increase by $27.7 million annually. The net amount of actual increase varies
by class of customer and usage.
Rocky Mountain serves more than 70 000 customers in southeastern Idaho. The
Company provides electric service to more than 1 000 000 customers in Utah, Wyoming and
Idaho. The Company owns more than 10 000 megawatts (MW) of generation from coal, hydro
natural gas-fueled combustion turbines and renewable wind and geothermal power. The
proposed increase is based upon normalized results of operations for the test period ending
December 31 , 2009, with known and measurable changes. The Company requests a return on
equity (ROE) of 10.6%.
On June 10, 2010, the Commission issued a Notice of Application and Notice of
Intervention Deadline and suspended the rates and schedules for electric service filed by Rocky
Mountain in Case No. PAC-10-07 for a period of thirty (30) days plus five (5) months from
June 28 , 2010, or until such time as the Commission enters an Order accepting, rejecting or
modifying the Company s Application. See Order No. 32001. Subsequently, the following
parties formally requested and were granted intervention by the Commission: Monsanto
Company; Idaho Irrigation Pumpers Association, Inc.; Agrium, Inc.; Community Action
Partnership Association of Idaho; PacifiCorp Idaho Industrial Customers; and Idaho
Conservation League.
YOU ARE HEREBY NOTIFIED that the Commission Staff will hold a public
workshop for Rocky Mountain customers on TUESDAY. SEPTEMBER 21. 2010. AT 7:00
M. AT THE ROBINSON BUILDING. 186 WEST SECOND NORTH. PRESTON.

IDAHO.At this meeting customers will have an opportunity to hear from Commission Staff
regarding the Company s Application in Case No. PAC-10-07 and ask questions of Staff.
Representatives of the Company may also be present and available to answer questions after the
workshop.
YOU ARE FURTHER NOTIFIED that the Commission Staff will hold a public
workshop for Rocky Mountain customers on WEDNESDAY. SEPTEMBER 22. 2010. AT
7:00 P.M. IN THE FREMONT COUNTY ANNEX MEETING ROOM. 125 NORTH
BRIDGE STREET. ST. ANTHONY. IDAHO.At this meeting customers will have an
opportunity to hear from Commission Staff regarding the Company s Application in Case No.
P AC-1 0-07 and ask questions of Staff. Representatives of the Company may also be present
and available to answer questions after the workshop.
YOU ARE FURTHER NOTIFIED that the Application and supporting workpapers
testimonies and exhibits in Case No. PAC-10-07 have been filed with the Commission and are
available for public inspection during regular business hours at the Commission offices, 472
West Washington Street, Boise, Idaho. The Company s Application may also be viewed on the
Commission s web site www.puc.idaho.gov, by clicking on "File Room" and then "Electric
Cases " or under the corresponding case number for this proceeding.
YOU ARE FURTHER NOTIFIED that all proceedings in this matter will be held in
facilities meeting the accessibility requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
Persons needing the help of a sign language interpreter or other assistance in order to participate
in or to understand testimony and argument at a public hearing may ask the Commission to
provide a sign language interpreter or other assistance at the hearing. The request for assistance
must be received at least five (5) working days before the hearing by contacting the Commission

YOU ARE FURTHER NOTIFIED that all proceedings in this case will be held
pursuant to the Commission s jurisdiction under Title 61 of the Idaho Code and that the
Commission may enter any final Order consistent with its authority under Title 61.
YOU ARE FURTHER NOTIFIED that all proceedings in this matter will be
conducted pursuant to the Commission s Rules of Procedure, IDAPA 31.01.01.000 et seq.
