Rocky Mountain Power files for recovery
of power costs.
On February 1, 2010, Rocky Mountain Power filed
an application with the Idaho Public Utilties
Commission to implement an energy cost
adjustment rider of $2.2 milion, or 1.46 percent
overalL. The energy cost adjustment mechanism
is designed to track the difference betee cost
incurred by the Company to provide energy
to customers and the amount collected from
customers through their current rates. After the
Commission's review and ruling, the rider would
take effect April 1, 2010.
With increases in costs to produce and
purchase the electricity to meet customer
demand, the proposed rider increase wil allow
Rocky Mountain Power to continue to provide
safe, reliable and adequate electric service to
its customers.

The proposed increase would have the following
impacts:
. residential customers - an increase of 1.29
percent; that would be approximately $0.91 per
month for the average residential home using
850 kilowatt-hours per month;
. irrigation customers (Schedule 10) - 1.55 percent
. general service
Schedule 23/23A - 1.34 percent
Schedule 6/6A/8/35 - 1.70 percent
Schedule 9 - 2.13 percent
Schedule 19 - 1.57 percent

(Schedules 7/7 A, 11, 12) - 0.46 percent
The Commission wil study the company's
request during the coming months and must
approve the proposed changes before they can
take effect.
The public wil have opportity to comment
on the proposal. A copy of the company's
application is available for public review at
the Commssion offices in Boise and at the
company's offces in Rexburg, Preston, Shelley
and Montpelier.
