Thank you for considering my complaint about RMP' s ridiculous i remote facilities fee i which
is puni ti ve and discriminatory. It i S important to mention that Qwest was able to put in a
line to my house, not just the road, which included digging the trench and refilling it for
just $600Ø! I have the same service everyone else has, including DSL! I made a call to
Qwest, paid the bill and I had a phone. Why can 't electricity be as easy? RMP latest
estimate was nearly $20,000 for just the line to my driveway and $180 a month FOREVER on top
of the bill. The idea that I, a widow on a teacher i s pension, have to pay for 30 years to
replace a line that I already paid once for (and probably won't live to see) is unbelievable
and greedy. Do you mean to tell me that RMP makes no profit at all?? I find that hard to
believe. There is something else going on here. i Tari ffs i should be similar for all
companies in the area. Idaho Power seems to be doing OK without charging this, what i s going
on with RMP? Even if this didn i t concern me, I would take a stand against this. They are
doing this because they can and the PUC is letting them. If I were on the commission, I would
put an end to such discrimination against the i little guy. i
