In our monthly billing received earlier this week, Rocky Mountain Power states they have
filed for another rate increase. It says that it will amount to 4.73 percent for residential
customers.
For those of us who are senior citizens and/or ~re on fixed incomes, we simply cannot absorb
nor afford .any more increases in our public utility bills! The increases in social security
have not begun to keep up with the increases given to Intermountain Gas and Rocky Mtn Power
over the last two or three years.
It i s time that Rocky Mtn Power tighten its belt and learn to live wi thin its present means.
Each month we have to ask our~elves the question: What are we going to do without thismonth? We cannot keep up with the continual increases in our utilities, property taxes,
medical expenses and increased food and fuel prices.
It i s time that the IPUC listens to us, the consumers. We would urge the Commission to. i Just Say No' to the proposed increase. Thank you.
